City Museum

The diversied collection (archeology from de Baudelo abbey, barberama, knitting machines, ex-libris, gramophones) and a restricted budget have led to the concept of a “museum-depot”. The different functions of the museum (to conserve, to search, to show) are condensed in a model inspired on a supermarket-model which allows various tracks and ends in the museum shop. This concept offers the space a dynamic that proposes a personnalized comprehension of the collection for the “customer”. This is reinforced by a code-bar system that provides text and explanations for each object.
